KABUL (Pajhwok): The Zebak district of northeastern Badakhsahan province has been recaptured by Afghan security forces, security officials said on Thursday.
Dawlat Waziri, Ministry of Defense (MoD) spokesman, said the district fell to Taliban insurgents after a group attack on April 28 and then security forces conducted a clearing operation to wrest back the district’s control.
“Fortunately the security personnel were able retake the district with a complete coordination,” said Waziri.
