MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): The university entrance test exam began in northern Balkh province on Thursday, with girls making half of the candidates.
The exam would continue for four day and in total 14976 high school graduates had applied for the test, Rozatullah Majeedi, the head of a Higher Education Ministry’s delegation that arrived in Balkh to oversee the exam.
He said 2000 more qualified students than last year would be enrolled in public sector universities and 270000 candidates were expected to take the exam countrywide . . .
