JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Four people, including a woman, have been killed in a dispute over ice sales in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Monday.
The incident happened in the Lalmai area of Chaparhar district on Sunday afternoon, said Malem Mashoq, the district’s administrative chief.
He added the families of Mullah Raqib and Syed Mullah Jan traded gunfire after a verbal clash on the ice issue.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that a man and two of his sons were killed from Mullah Raqib’s family and a woman from the rival household.
He said the perpetrators had fled the area but police had launched a hunt for them.
Separately, three Afghan refugees who were brothers were electrocuted in Pakistan. Their bodies were brought to Batikot district for burial.
