KABUL(Pajhwok) Al-Masafi left the title as GP Ramazan Cup Cricket Tournament ended last night at Zarmalwal Cricket stadium, Kabul.
Kabul Zalmai won the toss in the final match and decided to bat first, they put 103 runs on board in 20 over’s by losing 9 wickets, national team players Samiullah Shinwari was top scorers by scoring 43 runs.
Al-Masafi got the target in 11th over for 4 wickets and left the title of Ramdan Cup.
A wonderful ceremony, which was broadcasted live on Shamshad TV channel and other local channels and radio stations. With the presence of thousands of cricket lovers at the stadium.
Jailani Zarmalwal the owner of the tournament told Pajhwok Afghan News that 6 privite teams were participated in the tournament.
He appreciated GP title sponsor and for their support and efforts to make the tournament possible.
Dr. Kamal Sadat, the Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Culture and Information of Afghanistan, not only in Afghanistan but in the region as well.
General Petroleum GP representative Abdul Aziz Gardiwal pledged his commitment for promoting the cricket and overall support, including other social activities.
Gardiwal added that the GP’s motto is to bring peace and solidarity through cricket and all sports in Afghanistan.
