LASKARGAH (Pajhwok): Three civilians and as many Taliban insurgents have been killed as a result of a bomb explosion in the Greshk district of southern Helmand province, an official said on Thursday.
Omar Zwak, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place on Wednesday night. “The militants wanted to carry out a suicide attack on the 6th Battalion of third brigade through a Humavee.”
But the vehicle was hit with a rocket by Afghan soldiers before they could reach the target, Zwak said . . .
