Work launched on building for Education Department

ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Work on constructing a building for the Education Department in Nimroz province has been launched, an official said on Saturday.

Governor Eng. Mohammad Sami termed the launch of work an important step toward resolving the problems of employees. The facility should be built to modern standards, he said.

He identified the promotion of education as his government’s priority, as it played a significant role in the country’s development. With more investment in education, he said, higher goals could be achieved.

Education Director Abdul Wahid Hekmat said more facilities would be provided for applicants and employees in the new building, which was being constructed at a cost of 19 million afghanis. The project will be completed in a year.
