MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Ousted Balkh governor Atta Mohammad Noor on Saturday accused CEO Abdullah Abdullah of hatching conspiracies against him and plotting to weaken the Jamiat-i-Islami party from within.

About few days back, President Ashraf Ghani accepted Noor’s resignation and introduced Eng. Dawood his replacement as Balkh Governor.

However, Noor he had said he submitted his resignation last year based on some conditions.

On Saturday, Noor told a gathering in Mazar-i-Sharif that his party Jamiat-i-Islami gave legitimacy to the last fall presidential election which had otherwise no legitimacy.

Noor accused CEO Abdullah of 80 percent contributing to the making of conspiracies against him

“Abdullah was expelled from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during President Hamid Karzai’s tenure. He was then living in India with his family.

“I went to his home (in India) and asked him to come to his home country. I told him we are going to field you in the presidential poll. He then said Marshall Fahim and Younus Qanoni would not accept him.”

“I assured him of their satisfaction. But we never knew we are nourishing a snake up in our own sleeves.”

He further went on to say that Abdullah had no capability to talk and negotiate with President Ashraf Ghani. “I talked with the President on JIA’s behalf.”

“President Ghani and the Presidential Palace have the right to oppose me as I am a political opponent. But Abdullah played the role of a sleeve’s snake.”

“When the previous presidential polls entered a second round, Abdullah cried. It’s a shame for a politician to cry.”

The former governor accused Abdullah of making efforts at dividing the JIA as he sent one of the party factions to the president under the name of solidarity council.

He alleged Abdullah had forced key figures belonging to Kabul’s north and the northern zone to sit at their homes. “He has no respect for Former Defence Minister Ahmad Shah Massoud’s brothers and son. He has rather made problems for them and is betraying them.”

“I have neutralized all of Abdullah’s plots.”

Addressing Abdullah, he said: “Don’t mess with me; I can pull your teeth out.”

Noor said the unity government had come into existence through an agreement between the JIA and President Ghani, and now Abdullah couldn’t represent the JIA party and they would change their candidate. He didn’t into details.
