KABUL members on Saturday blamed ‘nepotistic appointments’ in the Ministry of Interior (MoI) behind widespread corruption within the ministry and insecurity in the country.
Musa Khan Nasrat, who represents western Farah province in the lower house, told today’s session the police strength in his province was far less than required.
He accused local security officials of failing to ensure security in the province.
According to him, ‘imaginary police’ still existed in the force whose monthly salaries were pocketed by certain individuals.
