KABUL on Wednesday -- a significant milestone in the Afghan government’s path of economic reforms.
The government has embarked on a reform process enhancing the credibility and transparency of the budget as well as compliance with international principles of good public finance governance.
In a statement, the European Union recognised the significance of the momentum triggered by the draft budget in ensuring that reforms and the underlying fiscal framework sustained the government’s pursuit of increased self-reliance, state-building and the peace effort.
