TALOQAN (Pajhwok): The governor and other local officials of northern Takhar province have been ordered to investigate a kangaroo court verdict against a woman there.
A video clip, in which a woman is publicly beaten with sticks in the Chah Aab district of the province, went viral in social media two days back.
The burqa-clad woman is canned by two persons, with a crowd watching the scene. Sarajuddin, a resident of the district, told Pajhwok Afghan News the woman was resident of Rubat village.
