SHARAN (Pajhwok): The public health director for southeastern Paktika province has accused doctors and other health workers of seeking bribes from residents.
Dr. Wali Gul Kharotai alleged during a graduation ceremony for 24 female nurses on Thursday that some hospitals extorted money from the people. He urged the nurses to prevent the practice.
Kharotai said: “Our people are poor, who should not be fleeced under any circumstances. Now that you have graduated, you have to see it to it that no one is asked illegally for money . . .
