JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead a school principal in the Chaparhar district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Monday.
Mohammad Asif Shinwari, education department’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News Abdul Latif Khan, the principal of Dako High School, was shot dead by masked gunmen.
The incident took place on Sunday evening when the principal was on his way to a mosque, he added.
A relative of the victim, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Abdul Lafit had no personal enmity. He had no idea about the motive behind the headmaster’s murder.
