JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Doctors, paramedical staff and drug sellers once again went on strike on Monday in eastern Nangarhar province to protest security problems they are facing.
Health workers said the government had failed to honor its promise of ensuring their security.
However, local security officials say the safety issue of health workers is not as serious as to go on duty strike.
While the protestors said armed mafia circles in Jalalabad, the provincial capital, were extorting money from them and threatened them with death.
