JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least one individual was killed and four others were wounded, including a provincial council member, in a bomb blast in eastern Nangarhar province on Tuesday morning.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the roadside bombing occurred in the Tairai area of Kama district at around 9am.
Public representative Iftikhar Momand, his two bodyguards and a civilian were injured in the explosion, the official said, adding one security guard was killed. The injured were evacuated to hospital. They are said to be in stable condition.
