The Independent Election Commission (IEC) has announced October 20 the date to hold the long-delayed Wolesi Jirga and district council elections. Some people have already announced their possible nominations.
According to a Pajhwok Afghan News report, 94 people including 79 percent of them current and three former Wolesi Jirga members have said they plan to jump into the fray in Kabul.
