KABUL (Pajhwok): The foundation stone for the construction of worth $10 million water filtration plant has been laid in the Pul-i-Charkhi Prison, a statement from the US embassy in Kabul said on Monday.
Interior Minister Wais Barmak and US Ambassador John Bass laid the foundation stone for the plant which will be completed in one year period, the statement said.
The project would help provide water filtration facility for around 14,000 inmates in the country’s largest prison of Pul-i-Charkhi.
