KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Around 816 internally-displaced persons (IDPs) and needy families on Sunday received food assistance in northern Kunduz province, an official said.
Mir AqaItibar, natural disaster management authority head for Kunduz, told Pajhwok Afghan News the families had been displaced from Qala-Zal district to the provincial capital due to recent Taliban attacks.
He said they surveyed 816 displaced families and Sunday started distributing the aid to then. Each family received five items of food ---rice, flour, sugar, ghee and meat.
