<p class="rteleft">PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Asphalting work on a 12-kilometer road connecting two districts of northern Baghlan province was launched on Sunday, an official said.</p>
<p class="rteleft">Provincial rural rehabilitation and development director Eng. Awal Khan told Pajhwok Afghan News that construction work on the road between Deh Salah and Bano districts was launched four months back and asphalting work kicked off on Sunday.</p>
<p class="rteleft">The 12-kilometer road, a 223.3 million afghanis project, would be seven-meter wide, he added.</p>
<p class="rteleft">The project would be completed within three months and put into service and would connect thousands of families of the two districts, he concluded.</p>
<p class="rteleft">Meanwhile, Deh Sala district administrative chief Faiz Mohammad Amiri expressed happiness over the road’s quality work and said the road was important for residents of the district, particularly for <a href="/en/agriculture" class="glossify-link">agriculture</a> and exports.</p>
<p class="rteleft">He said some people of Andrab locality of the district were not able to travel to Ghazni City, the provincial capital, due to lack of road.</p>
<p class="rteleft">Nazir Ahmad, a resident of the district, expressed his happiness over asphalting of the road and said the road would connect hundreds of families and would provide transport facilities to them.</p>
