KABUL (Pajhwok): Abdul Haq Shafiq has been appointed as new governor of northwestern Faryab province, the Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) said on Saturday.
IDLG said it had recommended Shafiq’s appointment as Faryab governor and the proposal was approved by President Ashraf Ghani.
The new governor would be introduced to provincial authorities in the near future.
