PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): The ceasefire between government forces and Taliban militants ‘is still in place’ in the Azra district of central Logar province, a claim the rebels rejected.
The Afghan government and the Taliban had formally ended their ceasefire but it has still been observed in the Azra district amid peace talks between tribal elders and Taliban, sources said on Wednesday.
The Taliban, however, rejected they were holding peace talks in Azra district with tribal elders.
