LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): At least 54 people, including security personnel, have been released from Taliban’s captivity in southern Helmand province, the military said on Tuesday.
A statement from the 215th Maiwand Military Crops said the security forces raided a Taliban jail in Musa Qala district late on Monday night.
It added 33 civilians, 15 policemen, four ANA personnel and two doctors were freed as a consequence of the raid. The security forces suffered no casualties during the overnight operation.
