Armed neighbors chase, rape woman in Badghis

QALA-I-NAW (Pajhwok): A 20-year-old woman has allegedly been raped by three armed men from her neighborhood in Qades district of northwestern Badghis province, police said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Naqibullah told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident happened on Saturday evening in an area between Arbab Sarwar village and Dara Tabar village of Qades district.

The victim was on her way from one village to another along with her father when they were attacked, he said.

He said police arrested the three alleged rapists after they were identified by the woman.

Naqibullah added the three individuals were neighbors of the woman and they were being investigated.
