At least 21 people including journalists were killed and more than 80 others wounded in Wednesday’s attack. The first blast occurred when a suicide bomber blew himself up inside the gym at a wrestling event.
A car bomb followed when first responders reached the scene. Two journalists from the Tolo News were among the dead and several other reporters were injured.
UNAMA condemned the attacks against the Shiites minority and expressed deep concern over the killing of journalists.
