JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The new Resolute Support mission (RS) commander) has assured the Nangarhar government of protecting civilian lives in the war-hit province, an official said on Wednesday.
Gen. Austin Scott Miller held out the assurance during a meeting with governors and police chiefs of Nangarhar and Laghman provinces at the 201st Selab Military Corps compound on Tuesday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the Nangarhar governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the Corps Commander Maj. Gen. Mohammad Zaman Waziri briefed Miller on their activities, achievements and other issues.
