Daesh seeking to recruit Afghan women, says MP

<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> to conduct suicide attacks, claims a legislator.</p>

<p>Speaking to an Iranian media outlet, <a href="/en/wolesi-jirga" class="glossify-link">Wolesi Jirga</a> member Mohammad Arif Rahmani said the militant group’s effort to attract women and girls had triggered deep concerns.</p>

<p>The Hazara MP told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that youngsters were more easily attracted to the Middle Eastern insurgent outfit.</p>

<p>According to IRNA, more than 3,000 people from Central Asian countries have departed for Iraq, Syria and <a href="/en/afghanistan" class="glossify-link">Afghanistan</a> since 2012 to join terrorist groups including Daesh.</p>
