<p class="rteleft"><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> candidates were pressuring the power distribution company to provide 24 hours electricity to their regions as part of their campaign.</p>
<p class="rteleft">According to the Independent Election Commission (<a href="/en/iec" class="glossify-link">IEC</a>), the electoral campaign for the Oct 20 Wolesi Jirga will continue for 11 more days.</p>
<p class="rteleft">Amanullah Ghalib, DABS director, told at a press conference here that electricity was being politicized by some candidates.</p>
<p class="rteleft">He did not name of anyone but said some Wolesi Jirga candidates had been bringing pressure on them to provide 24 hours power to their places.</p>
