Speaking at a conference in Sochi city of Russia on Wednesday, Karzai hoped the US would joint forces with Afghanistan’s neighbors, particularly Russia and China, in achieving peace in his country.
“There is no doubt peace in Afghanistan means peace in the entire region”, Karzai said, calling for revival of regional cooperation for reaching peace in Afghanistan.
Karzai also met with Zalmai Khalilzad, US’s special representative for Afghan peace and the US ambassador in Kabul last week . . .
