JALALABAD (Pajhwok): After almost 50 years, digging work was formally launched at historic sites in eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday by Acting Information and Culture Minister Rasoul Bawari.
The archaeology dig that commenced at a historic site in Sara Rud district would be expanded to other areas of Nangarhar in future, the minister said.
Bawari said 55 years back the Nangarhar Hada area was the only historic place and research and digging for historic sites was launched once again after a huge gap.
Bawari did not reject some historic items might be stolen . . .
