PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Workers of the Ghori Cement Factory in northern Baghlan province have shut the factory’s main gate in protest against a 500 afghanis cut from their monthly salaries in the name of pension fund.
Nisar Ahmad, head of the Ghor Factory Workers Union, said a privately-owned firm, the Afghan Cement Company, was running the Ghori factory for the past 12 years and had since been deducting an amount of money from their salaries in the name of retirement money.
