Afghanistan desires cordial relations with Pakistan: Mashal

KABUL, a statement said on Wednesday.

Mashal offered his credentials during a special ceremony to President Arif Alvi, the statement from the Afghan diplomatic mission in Islamabad said.

The Afghan ambassador conveyed President Ashraf Ghani’s best wishes to his Pakistani counterpart and discussed with him bilateral relations between the two countries.

Mashal said Afghanistan desired cordial relations with Pakistan based on mutual respect and interest.

President Alvi reiterated Pakistan’s support to the Afghan peace process and said a stable Afghanistan was in the interest of his country.
