Herat City (Pajhwok): Five people were killed and two others injured in militants attack on police station in the sixth municipality district in western Herat province late on Saturday, officials said.
Police Spokesman Abdul Ahad Walizada told Pajhwok Afghan News militants stormed the police facility at around 7:00 pm and after one hour of firefight they were killed.
He said the assailants were equipped with hand grenades.
Governor Spokesman Jilani Farhad said five people were killed and one injured in the attack.
