KANDAHAR/LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Projects costing 179 million afghanis for the Panjwai district of southern Kandahar province and about 30 million afghanis for Helmand’s Nawa district have been approved under the National Solidarity Program, officials said Wednesday.
As many as 153 projects, including canals, irrigation waterheads, retaining and protective walls, solar systems and tanks of clean drinking waters, will be executed in the Panjwai district, said a spokesman for the program in Kandahar, Atta Mohammad Helamand.
He said the projects would create jobs for 3000 people for 107 working days and would benefit 154,000 . . .
