Laghman PC members ends 4-year old feud

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A four-year old enmity between current and former Provincial Council members has come to an end after the mediation of tribal elders in eastern Laghman province, an official said on Wednesday.

Four years back, when a vorbal clash trunned violent between Ajmal Wafa and Mohammad Yousuf Malangzoy left nine people had killed and five others wounded.

Four people, including two family-members of Wafa’s family were killed and five others injured by Malangzoy’s personnel during the incident.

The court handed over Malangzoy a jail sentence after the incidents and still going through his punishment.

But recently, the Provincial Council head Attiqullah Abdul Rahimzai and some other tribal elders have strive for peace maong these two families and remined successful ending the years old enmity.

Deputy Governor Shahzadah Mazlomyar told Pajhwok with the meditaion of PC members and tribal elders the two families have reconciled and ended their enmity. Mohammad Yousuf Malangzoy, a former PC’s member who was also the main character of the incident, thanked the PC members effort that helped ended to their disput.
