Sergei Lavrov held a joint press conference with his Qatari counterpart in Doha on Monday Washington-Moscow ties were effective in facilitating intra-Afghan dialogue.
The Russian minister said US special envoy Zalmay Khalilzad met Moscow’s representatives from time to time and they had established good contacts.
“Both Russia and the US, as well as Afghanistan’s neighbours and other countries can help Afghans begin a national dialogue, which is the only way that could end this crisis,” he added.
