KABUL (Pajhwok): Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani has reaffirmed her country’s commitment to working closely with the UN and international partners to support global efforts to achieve stability in Afghanistan.
She made the remarks during a meeting with United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo in New York, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
During the meeting, she reiterated her country’s commitment to working closely with the UN and international partners to support global efforts to achieve stability in Afghanistan.
For her part, DiCarlo referred to her recent visit to Kabul and discussed the latest political and humanitarian developments in Afghanistan, as well as international efforts related to the country.
