3 Baghlan policemen held over alleged Taliban link

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Intelligence personnel have arrested three security officials over their alleged cooperation with Taliban militants in northern Baghlan province, the spy service said on Monday.

A statement from the National Directorate of Security (NDS) office said its personnel conducted an operation in Pul-i-Khumri, the provincial capital, and arrested the three officials.

The statement identified the detainees as Ramiz, recruitment officer at the provincial police headquarters, Bahadar and Hidayatullah. The detainees have been accused of cooperation with Taliban militants.

The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
