KABUL election candidate closed the gates of the Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) office in Kabul on Monday against removal of the candidate’s name from the final election results list.
Around 300 supporters of Mohammad Daud Katawazai, the Wolesi Jirga candidate, from southeastern Paktika province, took part in the protest rally and asked why their votes were invalided.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Dauad Katawazai, who was part of the protest, accused the IECC of taking bribes from another candidate Khalid Asad to increase his votes.
