Some reports and rumors earlier circulated on social media about a meeting between President Ashraf Ghani’s chief of staff Salam Rahimi and Mullah Baradar, head of the Taliban’s Qatar office, in Doha.
Presidential spokesman Haroon Chakhansori rejected the reports of such a meeting during a chat with Pajhwok Afghan News.
On the other hand, the Taliban also in a statement rejected the rumored meeting between Baradar and Rahimi.
