TINRIKORT (Pajhwok): The Taliban on Monday conditionally allowed 22 schools to resume classes in Chora district of central Uruzgan province, officials said.
Provincial education officials told Pajhwok Afghan News that Taliban militants had ordered closed the 22 schools in the district a few days ago but today they conditionally allowed their reopening.
Mohammad Nasim Himatzai, the education department’s deputy head, said the schools remained closed for ten days but reopened this morning after elders mediated with Taliban.
