Afghanistan, Ireland to play 2 ODIs ahead of WC

KABUL are set to face Ireland in a two-match One-Day International (ODI) series.

The national side would have to improve its combinations, which have got somewhat better with the return of some veteran players.

Spin wizard Rashid Khan and all-rounder Mohammad Nabi are back in the squad for the series, making Afghanistan a resilient unit.

According to Crictracker, Mujeeb Ur Rahman may, who failed to prove his worth in the Indian Premier League, could be part of the team.

The first ODI will be hosted by the Civil Service Cricket Club in Belfast, where a one-dayer is being played for the first time since August 2018.

The series against Scotland did not feature Rashid and Nabi, who were playing in the Indian Premier League for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
