Led by Mullah Baradar, Taliban delegation off to Russia

<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a>.</p>

<p>The ceremony marking 100 years of diplomatic relations between Russia and Afghanistan is expected to be followed by information talks between Taliban representatives and senior Afghan politicians including former president Hamid Karzai.</p>

<p>A statement attributed to Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the 14-member Taliban delegation would attend the ceremony on Tuesday.</p>

<p>The Taliban delegation would attend an intra-Afghan meeting with a number of Afghan politicians on Wednesday to discuss the peace process and the future of Afghanistan. The delegation would also hold special meetings with high ranking Russian officials, the statement said.</p>

<p>Other members of the Taliban delegation include Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, Shahabuddin Dilwar, Syed Rassoul, <a href="/en/maulvi" class="glossify-link">Maulvi</a> Abdul Salam Hanafi, Mullah Mohammad Fazal Akhund, Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, Qari Din Mohammad Hanif, Mohammad Sohail Shaheen, Mullah Khairullah  Khairkhwa, Maulvi Mohammad Nabi Omari, Mullah Noorullah Noori and Maulvi Mohammad Hassan.</p>
