JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Military officials say all districts, barring two, in eastern Nangarhar province have been under control from security perspective and efforts are ongoing to improve the situation in the remaining two districts until the presidential election.
The officials say they have made plans to extend security operations to Sherzad and Hesarak districts to drive militants from there.
Afghan National Army’s 201 Selab Military Corps fourth battalion commander Col. Qand Agha Sapi told a reporters on Sunday that they had confiscated arms and arrested an arms smuggler in Momand Dara district yesterday.
