KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Local residents say more than 2,000 youths from Zazai Maidan district of southeastern Khost province have so far paid the supreme sacrifice while fighting in Afghan security forces ranks during the past 18 years.
They say the martyred youths served in different positions and their wives and mothers have no caretaker and are obligated to survive on begging.
The youths sacrificed their lives for the defense of the country and the government did nothing to support their families who are now suffering from various problems, the people say.
