The president made the pledge while addressing Afghan refugees, students, women and businessmen in Islamabad where he is on two-day official visit to Pakistan.
Initially the participants informed the president regarding the problems they have been facing in repatriation, trade, education, visas, transit trade and other areas.
They hailed president Ghani’s efforts for development and other areas and termed insecurity as major challenge for peace and their return to the country.
The president said that after improvement in Afghanistan, Pakistan relationship the problems of refugees would be addressed as well.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan told him that he allowed Afghan refugees to create bank accounts which unprecedented.
He added, Imran Khan agreed to allow Afghanistan’s truck to carry their goods to the Wagah border and in the same way Pakistan would be connected with the Central Asia via Afghanistan.
“We did not close Torkham gate, they closed it. Now Pakistan had resolved problems faced by Afghan businessmen at Karachi Port after we opened new connectivity links,” he said.
The president said: “Afghanistan did not tension with Pakistan but desired mutually respected relationship based on national interest and respect to national integrity,” he said.
The president said he was ready to end war and conflict in the country not for the acknowledgement that the Taliban were powerful, but to end the ongoing conflict in the country.
