Unexploded ordnance kills 2 children in Logar

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok):  Two children were killed and three others wounded on Saturday when an unexploded mortar shell went off in Pad Khwab area near the capital of central Logar province, an official said.

The children were playing with the unexploded ordnance that exploded in the afternoon, said provincial police spokesman Shahpur Ahmadi.

A resident of Pad Khwab area, about three kilometers from Pul-i-Alam, Zahidullah, said the children were playing with the device that went off all of a sudden.
