DOHA (Pajhwok): The Taliban and a visiting Afghan delegation agreed over reducing violence in a joint statement which may be issued at the end of the two-day meeting in Qatar, a well-placed source said on Monday.
Wishing anonymity, the source said that cities, schools, public property and civilians would not be attacked.
Prisoners on both sides who are suffering from illness, disability or have turned old would be released unconditionally.
Both sides also agreed that the meetings of this nature would continue in future until the Taliban and the Afghan government held direct talks.
