MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot dead a primary court judge in northern Balkh province on Thursday, an official said.
Police spokesman Adel Shah Adel told Pajhwok Afghan News Judge Najibullah Hassam was killed on his way to office in the 10th police district at 8:00 am.
He said police had launched an investigation into the murder. According to initial information, the driver of the judge also fled with the killers.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the assassination in Mazar-i-Sharif – the provincial capital.
