KABUL’s attack on the capital of northern Kunduz province as against the group’s talking subject in Qatar.
A statement from the Presidential Palace received by Pajhwok Afghan News said, “Unfortunately the Taliban damaged some residential, civilian and non-military areas in Kunduz city by launching their attack there.”
The Taliban with such acts wanted to show a savage condition but their attacks were pushed back by Afghan security forces.

President Ashraf Ghani condemned the attack and said protection of people and their assets was a priority of the government.
Such acts of the Taliban were in contrary to the peace subject of the group being discussed in Doha, capital of Qatar while the Afghan people wanted an end to the war and a dignified peace, he said.
He thanked the Afghan forces for controlling the situation on time and said that security forces were real sons of the country who protected the lives of their people with their own sacrifices.
The capital of Kunduz province has fallen twice to the Taliban during the last four years.
