<p>PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Foreign ministers from <a href="/en/afghanistan" class="glossify-link">Afghanistan</a> are set to meet on trilateral cooperation in Islamabad today (Saturday).</p>
<p>The third round of China-Afghanistan-Pakistan Trilateral Foreign Ministers’ Dialogue is taking place at the Foreign Office.</p>
<p>Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi would chair the meeting, which will also be attended by his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi and Salahuddin Rabbani of Afghanistan.</p>
<p>“The agenda focuses on political relations and the peace process, security, counter-terrorism and development cooperation,” the Foreign Office in Islamabad said.</p>
<p>The dialogue was established in 2017 as a means of trilateral cooperation on issues of mutual interest, with particular focus on cooperation on economic development and peace.</p>
<p>The first meeting was held in Beijing in 2017 and the second in <a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">Kabul</a> in December 2018. The dialogue provides an opportunity for political cooperation on facilitating the Afghan peace and reconciliation process.</p>
<p>“Pakistan attaches importance to the dialogue as a part of political trust-building, development and cooperation and connectivity leading to greater understanding on issues of common concern,” the Foreign Office added.</p>
