TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): A new polio case has recently been registered in central Uruzgan province, an official said on Thursday.
With the registration of the latest instance, the number of polio cases has increased to eight in the province this year.
Public Health Department official Saifuddin Barak told Pajhwok Afghan News the case was detected in Tirinkot, the provincial capital. He said a 14 years old girl, Razia, had been diagnosed with polio.
